At Home Euthanasia Process for Dogs
Upon arrival, we will allow your dog and other pets to get used to us. We’ll take a moment to look over the consent form with you and clarify your wishes for aftercare. We never want your dog to feel like they are at a veterinary visit, so a complete examination will not be performed. We will talk about their symptoms with you and let you know the timing is right before we proceed. The euthanasia service can occur wherever you and your dog feel the most comfortable: bed, sofa, the living room, etc. If your dog still has an appetite, you can offer them a special meal before we arrive. They can continue to have food or treats when we’re there.
We will give a relaxation dose first as a subcutaneous injection. Over the next 5 to 10 minutes, your dog will feel completely calm and pain-free and gently fall asleep with you by their side. Once they’re sleeping deeply, we will administer the final euthanasia medication intravenously. Your dog will not feel the intravenous injection, nor will they know that the euthanasia medicine is being administered. The euthanasia medicine takes only 1 to 2 minutes but is entirely painless. Our veterinarian will confirm that your dog has passed using a stethoscope. We will then make the clay paw print. When you are ready, we will carry your dog to the truck with comfort and dignity using a stretcher if needed.
Our Mobile Euthanasia Service
Angel Veterinary Services provides at-home euthanasia services for pet owners located in the greater Phoenix Metro. Our veterinarians understand how emotionally overwhelming it is to say goodbye to your family member. We will euthanize your pet in the most gentle and dignified way, without the stress and anxiety of the veterinary clinic environment.
Angel Vet was Established in 2010 and we have been serving the community ever since. All of our veterinarians are pet lovers, owners and know that our pets become part of our families. Our dogs and cats mean the world to us. Even though we understand that their lives are shorter than ours, it is still so devastating when we must say goodbye.

I truly believe that we must be strong enough to set them free if they are facing an illness from which they cannot recover or if they are hurting and painful and not improving with treatment. They give us so much and ask for nothing in return. I started Angelvet because I know that being at home when we say goodbye is so much better for them and for us as well. I wouldn't want it any other way for my own pets, and I feel blessed to be able to offer this service to other families when they must part with their precious companions.
