When Is It Time?

When we accept a pet into our lives, we know that one day we will have to decide when the time is right to relieve them from pain or illness. If your pet has been diagnosed with an incurable illness that takes away the quality of life, or if your pet’s day is full of senior moments where they are confused or sad, then it may be time to end their suffering with in home euthanasia. You may see that your pet has more bad days than good days, or you may be seeing the following changes.

N

Your Pet has lost interest in food

N

Your Pet is no longer able to go to the bathroom without accidents or falling down

N

Your Pet is no longer greeting you when you come home

N

Your Pet is no longer patrolling the yard or protecting their territory the way they once did

N

Your Cat has stopped grooming themselves

N

Your Dog no longer wags it’s tail

Meet Dr. Hayley Hollier, DVM

A small-town Louisiana native, Dr. Hayley knew from a young age that her life’s work would revolve around animals. She grew up surrounded by horses, dogs, cats, and cows, eventually curating her own beloved mini-menagerie complete with Nigerian dwarf goats and a miniature donkey.

Dr. Hayley earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with a focus on Dairy Production from Louisiana State University in 2011. While at LSU, her passion for international mission work inspired her to study abroad, ultimately leading her to London, England, where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the prestigious Royal Veterinary College in 2016. She returned to the South to complete a specialized equine internship at Mississippi State University in 2018, and has since spent years caring for animals across the Southeast in both mixed and small animal general practices.

From her very first days as a veterinarian, providing compassionate end-of-life care has held a profoundly special place in Dr. Hayley's heart. She views guiding and supporting families through these tender transitions as a true privilege. By returning home to Louisiana to provide gentle, in-home care, she is honored to offer this deeply meaningful kindness to her neighbors, her community, and the pets they love.
